PEDRO LENCART AND ISABEL SARMENTO – DIRECTORS
Pedro Lencart and Isabel Sarmento are linked to the land by professional choice. He is a forestry engineer and she is an agricultural engineer. The Douro remained on the couple’s horizon even when Pedro took over the direction of forestry projects of large companies in the industry and the family moved to Uruguay and Spain. The distance ended up motivating the first step, which was needed not to lose the rudder of the dream of a life in the Douro. In 2006 the company Vitativis was born. This agricultural and forestry management and consulting company is the foundation that allowed Pedro and Isabel to settle in the region and dedicate much of their time to the production and commercial management of Quinta dos Lagares, Vitavitis’ main asset.
FÁTIMA RIBAS – VITICULTURE AND OENOLOGY
Fátima Ribas is an Agricultural Engineer graduated in 1997 from the University of Trás-os-Montes de Alto Douro.
Although she is from Lisbon, she always had a special love for the Douro region and it was in this region that she worked in most of her professional life.
Fátima loves working with wine, from the grapes to the wine itself and at this moment she is responsible for the viticulture and enology in Quinta dos Lagares.
